[ubuntu] Wine Font Problem

Hi. I have had this problem since I got Linux and it is not going away, I am not sure what do do and would like some help with this problem.

Here is what I see when running Wine or any program using Wine.

Some help/suggestions would be appriciated.

Turn all your visual effects off. This is btw a big problem in Ubuntu 8.10 I've got it too.
